Patient Advocate
The Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center endeavors to reach agreements to provide care on behalf of all managed care organizations which, in our opinion, allow our doctors to provide what we believe to be an acceptable level of care at a reasonable reimbursement level.
We will act as a patient advocate and work with our patients and provide information and assistance required to obtain authorization for our continued services.
Patients must be aware that final responsibility for keeping track of authorizations and expiration dates are their responsibility and that they are financially responsible for services received without an authorization.
Carolina Asthma & Allergy Center P.A. has contracts with all major carriers and accepts most every insurance plan. At this time, one we do not accept is Amerihealth. If you have questions about the coverage of your insurance, please reach out to our office. We’d be happy to answer any questions you have before scheduling. Most plans also do not require a referral to get an appointment, and you may self-schedule online. One that is requiring a referral at this time is Humana Gold Medicare.
We do always recommend for you to check with your insurance company to verify the level of asthma and allergy coverage provided and also to understand your financial responsibility. We look forward to serving you and your family.
