Biography

Courtney began her nursing career as a registered nurse working in pediatric home care in Charlotte, NC. One year later, she was hired into Levine Children’s Hospital where she cared for pediatric orthopedic/trauma, neurosurgery, cystic fibrosis, and general surgery patients. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, she was promoted to Clinical Supervisor and spent the remainder of her time at Levine Children’s in a leadership role, while continuing to enjoy her role as a patient advocate and caregiver. Courtney earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in December 2018.

Courtney joined Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center in November 2019. She has enjoyed getting to know this patient population and views every patient encounter as an opportunity to make a connection. She is deeply devoted to patient education and ensuring every patient has a good understanding of their diagnosis and treatment plan. She always enjoys meeting new patients and loves building long-term relationships.

Courtney is a Cleveland, OH-area native who moved to Charlotte in 2013 for sunnier skies. When she is not working, Courtney enjoys spending time by the pool with her husband, son, stepdaughter, and two rotten chihuahuas. She loves cooking, traveling, and anything and everything that has to do with Disney.
