Biography

Dr. Boyd grew up in Hickory, NC and is excited to be returning to practice in her hometown. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Chemistry before pursuing her medical degree at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, affiliated with the University of Texas Southwestern. Following that, she went to the University of Virginia where she trained in Allergy and Immunology. During her fellowship training, Dr. Boyd presented her research focused on pediatric asthma at numerous conferences. She received the prestigious Clemens von Pirquet Award, which is given to a fellow-in-training for the best research.

Boyd is trained to treat both pediatric and adult patients with a wide variety of allergic and immunologic diseases. She enjoys working with patients to develop a personalized plan to help ensure the highest quality of care for each individual. She strives to treat every patient with compassion and respect.

Outside of work, Dr. Boyd enjoys spending time with her family, including her young son. She loves to play music, hike, and travel.
