RagweedCedarDr. Patel grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and was accepted into a prestigious combined BS/MD program right out of high school. He completed his undergraduate studies at Kent State University and earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2002. Dr. Patel then pursued an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL, where he also completed his fellowship in Allergy & Immunology in 2007.
Since moving to Charlotte, Dr. Patel has been a dedicated Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center team member. He holds board certifications in Internal Medicine (initially certified in 2005 and recertified in 2015) and Allergy/Immunology (initially certified in 2007 and recertified in 2017). Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. His clinical expertise includes asthma, seasonal allergies, sinus disease, chronic cough, skin rashes, and food allergies.
Dr. Patel is passionate about caring for families of all ages, from children to adults. He values the relationships he builds with his patients and takes pride in helping them understand how to manage their health effectively.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Patel enjoys spending quality time with his three children, traveling, fitness, and reading books. He enjoys movies, especially the Harry Potter, Star Wars, and the Marvel Universes.
